Winter's coming!.....hmmm, people seem to be saying that a lot lately. No-one seems really too sure what it means. For Stoneface however it can only mean one thing; a chance to impress the great and the good of the Scottish rock scene and win a place at the prestigious new rock festival Winterstorm. Promoted by Polestar Music Management, The Dreadnought Rock Club and Winterstorm Festival this was truly an all-star event with the best of the unsigned rock scottish music scene throwing their hats in the ring for a slot at the hugely popular rockets by the seaside in Troon in November.
With Anchor Lane, Stoneface, Gordon's Alive and The Audiorayz this could have been the spine of a great unsigned rock festival in its own right and was to prove a great night of rock n roll with a variety of differing styles on display. Each band was at the top of their game making the ultimate decision no easy task for the judges.
Anchor Lane eventually edged Stoneface and the others out in a close run thing..
Congratulations to these fine young men for their successful gaining of a slot at Winterstorm.
Stoneface enjoyed returning to one of their favourite rock venues and once again proving that they are hard on the heels of the best rock bands in the UK today.
Described as "...well polished...with panache...original, dark and with a friendly menace." (The Moshville Times) and"...a bass tone that Lemmy would be proud of...their singer has the best stage presence of the night...you can easily imagine this being a big festival performance due to their interaction...great technical guitar work...Stewart Storrie embodies a cult leader throughout...suited to Bloodstock..."
