Stoneface rounded off a phenomenal year with a great special guest appearance opening for Kieren Robertson as he launched his debut album at the Glasgow Cathouse on Friday the 9th of December.
Debuting not only a new set featuring a number of brand new songs anticipated to feature on their upcoming second album, but also a new lineup featuring local powerhouse drummer Al McMenemy in the driving seat, Stoneface gave a bombastic set much to the delight of the assembled audience. A new intro track as the band take stage segues perfectly into set opener 'Fight'. Brand new songs 'Prey', 'Clandestine' and 'Bleed' were given their inaugural outing all to a great reception. There were also several other songs which, whilst they have been played live previously, have not featured on the previously recorded Stoneface media. These included "Spitting Blood', 'Strong' and the aforementioned 'Fight'.
The heavier direction of the new material certainly seemed to be popular with the Cathouse patrons and promises a lot to look forward to from the new album which the boys hope to begin recording in early 2017.
